Major functions include automated inventory control and maintenance, receiving, distribution of supplies and customer service. Responsibilities:

Maintains appropriate logs and records relating to system (including Par Excellence, Pyxis and PMM) maintenance, implementation, inventory control and training.

Works directly with the Director and Manager of distribution along with Par Ex to provide technical support for the Materials Management Information System Maintenance including Par Excellence (the Automated Weighted Bin Par Replenishment System), Pyxis (the Automated Point-of-Use Inventory System used for replenishment and billing) and PMM (the Materials Management and Financial Management System).

Inventories, replenishes and delivers supplies to all patient care areas on a daily basis according to established inventory par-levels. Monitors utilization trends and recommends par-level changes as appropriate. Rotates and inventories stock to ensure sterile packaging integrity and current expiration dates. Develops familiarity with all types of supplies and packaging contents and all requirements.

Works with nursing leadership to report issues or findings to help the flow of supplies in their areas and improve our level of customer service.

Adheres to all division and hospital policies and procedures, and maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines.

Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:A minimum of 1to 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferred. Education:General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc. Equal to a high school diploma, required. Licenses / Certifications:Other:Computer knowledge in; Word, Excel, Microsoft, ETC. Must be able to multi-task. Must possess effective organizational, communication, and human relations skills.
