Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Previous experience working with disadvantaged studentsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree and state of Mississippi certificationESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES , include the following.Other duties may be assigned.Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.Conduct orientation workshops for students, parents, community, and other related entities.Screen applicants for participant eligibility.Refer ineligible students to appropriate or alternative servicesMaintain participant filesMeet with UB Director and target school principal regularlyConduct participant follow-up surveysParticipate in in-service meetingsWork with target school counselors in coordinating project activitiesPerform other duties as required to achieve program goals and objectivesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:N/APHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
