We are seeking a Team Leader to perform bridge maintenance inspections on various structure types in the Utica area.
The Team Leader must be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in New York State. A Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering is required along with three years of bridge experience in design, construction, inspection or other bridge engineering related work.
Typical Responsibilities include:
Verifying and documenting measurements of superstructure and substructure components.
Documenting existing conditions with digital photographs and sketches.
Recording observed deficiencies.
Performing emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision, floods, etc., as required.
Maintaining bridge records and files according to the client's needs using BDIS software and AASHTO Element method
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be a US citizen or have a green card to work in the United States.
Candidates must be able to work at heights - on ladders, scaffolding and on aerial lifts (or other bridge inspection access equipment). Applicants must be able to climb hilly terrain, work in confined spaces (training provided) and be able to work under adverse weather conditions as required.
