New internist practice opening in Russell, PA, will hopefully start seeing patients in early April if i manage to get my ducks lined up in a row. Possibility of late Apr, early May if we run into some hurdles.
It’s a solo internist practice. Will increase number of staff over time but initially, will only need medical receptionist, who will also aid in some basic clinic-related duties. Physician will do everything else but for anything that doesnt require a physician to do, that’s where you come in.
Responsibilities:
-help set aside important papers that need signAture by physician
-help schedule appointments for patients
-help patients to use kiosk to self check in/out
-walk patients to vital sign room when appropriate, and then have wait in an exam room
-as doctor is seeing one patient, will bring another to vital sign room
-help put in referrals to specialist, whenever the EMR is unable to.
-will help with clerical duties and inventory
-will help with minor tidying of the work area.
Experience is welcomed but more important is a strong sense of motivation, work ethics, and is a quick learner. Be inquisitive, creative, and a problem solver.
I would prefer a pleasant person who is great at problem solving and learns quickly over an experienced person , though with so many medical jargons being thrown around, some background in healthcare goes a long way.
This job would be even more ideal if you're seeking a exposure to healthcare and wants to become a healthcare provider in some way.
