Supply Chain Specialist

Description We are offering a role for a Supply Chain Specialist in TARRYTOWN, New York. This role is crucial in assisting our purchasing department with various supply chain projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive and interested in supply chain operations. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity with the possibility for hire.Responsibilities: Assist with supply chain projects and take necessary actions for their successful completion Follow up with vendors to ensure smooth operations Gather and organize information pertaining to supply chain operations Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel Provide exceptional customer service to maintain good relationships with vendors Handle logistics and distribution tasks to ensure timely delivery of productsRequirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables. Experience with 'About Time' project management software is necessary. Strong customer service skills and experience in a customer-facing role. Knowledge of logistics processes, including planning and coordinating transport operations. Familiarity with logistics and distribution management, including inventory control and warehousing. Experience in materials handling, including the moving, packing, and storing of goods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
