Local FAMILY OWNED independent repair shop has an opening for an EXPERIENCED Automotive Technician to serve as a LEAD TECHNICIAN at our dynamic, clean, family-owned, independent repair shop in Auburn, NY. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of quality repairs and customer service, with fair and honest pricing. We are a team that works together to serve our customers and fix cars right the first time. We have a very loyal customer base, with an increasing number of new customers daily. We do things a little differently at our shop and want someone who is open to learning processes that have proven to create an environment that is free from chaos and drama. Qualifications:
· Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with at least 5 years of on-the-
job automotive technician experience.
· In-depth knowledge of automotive repair techniques and procedures.
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities:
Repair brake and steering systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Replace or repair transmissions and internal engine repairs as needed.
Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
Perform NY State safety and emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, rotating tires etc.).
Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting diagnosis and work performed.

License/Certification(s):
Valid Driver License (required)
NYS Motor Vehicle Inspector License (required)
ASE Certifications (not required, but a definite plus!)
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Up to $100,000 PLUS per year (based on experience). FLAT RATE pay with monthly and weekly commission. Production and Performance pay structure, make your own paycheck!
