We are looking to add a new assistant manager / foreman to our team this spring as we transition into a new commercial property in Syracuse, NY. The business is a hardwood flooring (millwork) and lumber manufacturing company. The basic duties of the position will be to manage and work with a couple employees on a daily basis, along with managing orders placed to date. Managing orders simply means guaranteeing that the right quantity and grade material is included for each order, and that it is delivered to the correct location when required. In addition to processing orders, this position will help take the lead in setting up / maintaining the new commercial property and doing continuous improvements throughout the foreseeable future.
Starting at $25-30/hr
Job is part time to start, 20-30 hrs/week.
Job will become full-time in May

Skills / Experience Required:
- Ability to manage / lead 2-5 laborers
- Ability to manage / execute orders placed
- Ability to operate: Forklifts, Heavy Equipment, Pay-loader, man-lift
- Ability to drive 24’ flat bed truck, manual transmission, class D
- Understanding of equipment repair / troubleshooting
- Carpentry skills
- Able to read, follow blueprints
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Self starter
