Immediately, seeking female (DSP) direct support professional/personal care aide in my own apartment with the need for day and evening hours and overnight staff, various shifts as well as back up staff for when staff can’t come in. Day and weekend shifts (8am-4pm) and/or evening shifts (4pm-10pm). Day and evening hours and pay ($17.50 hour)are provided through Exceptional Family Resources, a non-for-profit organization. Background check and fingerprinting are a mandatory requirement. Valid NY state drivers license is needed for day and evening position. I do have a modified van which staff drives. Overnights pay $17.55 thru CDPAS program 10pm -8am and license not necessary. Applicant must be cat friendly! Some benefits through the EFR are available depending on hours worked. Lots of down time for staff to watch tv, study(great for students), read and use of internet.
I use a wheelchair and have my college degree. I require total assistance with all ADL’s and transfers via.electric sit-to standard or track system and personal care. My existing staff and I will provide specialized training on both pieces of equipment. Staff accompany and drive me to all activities/appointments, utilizing my specialized modified van. You will also be expected to perform light housekeeping and some meal prep. Overnight duties are just reposition and help toileting if necessary during the night while you watch tv or sleep.
