Orthopedic Surgery APP Job PostingDescription: Upstate Community Medical, PC at Upstate Community Hospital is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join our orthopedic inpatient service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily rounding and complete care and management of patients admitted to the orthopedic service.
Functions as a first assist in orthopedic OR procedures.
Assist in the pre-operative and post-operative management of orthopedic patients.
Develops and implements patient treatment care plans, records progress notes, and monitors therapeutic interventions in collaboration with orthopedic attending physicians.
Provide orthopedic consults to both the Upstate Community Hospital inpatient service and Emergency Department.
The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians in providing orthopedic inpatient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
This full-time position is ideal for a highly motivated PA or NP who wants to contribute to Upstate Community Hospital’s growing orthopedic service. This position is an operative position and is open to PAs and NPs with a current RNFA certification.
NYS license
ACLS & BLS required
Current CPR
NCCPA Certification or NP ANCC
Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
