Century Linen & Uniform is the largest commercial laundry in operation in NYS. We are currently seeking qualified candidates. Come Join our Team Service and Asset Manager (SAM) - HealthcareSUMMARY:The Service and Asset Manager position serves as an essential partner with healthcare customers, managing the needs of existing business relationships in assigned acute and outpatient facilities and managing the company’s linen assets allocated to customers. The SAM provides linen management services to ensure rational and strategic use of all linens, reduce lost and damaged linen, and also grows existing business by cross selling other products, services, and solutions.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct customer site visits:

Educate the customer on ways to reduce waste and improve linen utilization while still maintaining a high level of patient care

Perform rounds at hospitals and clinics with linen management staff to ensure continuous quality improvement, cost savings and customer/patient satisfaction

Quantify quality concerns, collecting reject percent information

Provide monthly Linen Management and Customer Overview reports to the facilities, reviewing and analyzing data with or for customer

Work with customers to reduce “hoarding” practices by the facility. Monitor and rotate stock (FIFO, “first in, first out”).

Manage linen inventories to ensure that customers are ordering the appropriate amounts of linen, know where linen is stored within facilities, and maximize linen utilization

Monitor, recommend and adjust linen par/standard order levels

Encourage customers to use online ordering portal and educate them on proper use

Obtain monthly Adjusted Patient Days information from all customers and use for benchmark reporting

Cultivate customer relationships throughout various departments, including at the executive level

Document visits using Service Visit templates

Perform inventories of all storage locations on a regular basis, or as assigned by management

React quickly to shortage/low stock item alerts, locating any overstock at customers to drive fill rates

Develop and implement action plans to improve customer satisfaction and linen management, working with other Company departments and managers to find mutually acceptable solutions

Use software to be able to review and understand customer setups, contracts, pricing, par levels etc

Lead Business Reviews (usually quarterly), Linen Committee Meetings and Linen Awareness Days

Negotiate and obtain Service Agreement Renewals, driving customer retention

Ensure excellent communication and responsiveness

Understand, observe and adhere to all safety procedures and policies
