QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Accounting or equivalent.
- Two years of accounting experience.
- Experience with fund accounting or cost allocation accounting beneficial.
- Ability to perform non-repetitive clerical accounting duties which require familiarity with accounting practices and - procedures, knowledge of accounting codes and classifications, and analysis and judgement in the application of accounting procedures.
- Microsoft Excel experience required.
- Strong ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize problem solving and results.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Requires vaccination for COVID-19.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for all Grant Funds of programs directly charged to this position, including drawing funds.
2. Maintain an accounting system for programs directly charged to this position through month end closing.
3. Responsible for Account Analysis on a monthly basis, and for maintaining strict internal control of Income and Expenditures relative to operating budgets for programs directly charged to this position.
4. Attend monthly meetings and present financial reports for programs directly charged to this position. Attend other meetings as directed by the CFO.
5. Provide assistance to the other functions of the fiscal office.
6. Review for accuracy all vouchers and claims to grant sources.
7. Review contracts and submissions of agency contracts prepared by other fiscal staff for the programs directly charged to this position.
