Description:We count on care assistants to gently and capably meet the needs of our patients, providing a level of care that exceeds expectations. We’re seeking an experienced care assistant who provides their patients with not only trustworthy care but also clinical care. Some areas they are responsible for include:Responsibilities:

Performing vital sign documentation.

Prepares patients and rooms for exams and procedures.

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice.

Preparing patients for examination/procedures.

Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person.

Collecting patient data in person and by phone and documenting patient concerns.

Messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician’s review.

Complete and accurate message taking, routing messages to the appropriate area for direction, order and referral entry, setting up of cases in EMR system plus basic registration and updating of demographics.

Assists physician/nurse practitioner with basic exams and procedures.

Accurately documents medical information in the patient records.

Tracks and routes test results to physician(s)/nurse practitioner(s) for review.

Communicates test results with patients when deemed appropriate by physician/nurse practitioner.

Facilitates patient care activities, to include scheduling ancillary tests, reinforcing patient education, and performs triage as appropriate and directed by physician/nurse practitioner (as per site operation).

Maintains adequate inventory of medical, office, and pharmaceutical supplies.

Performs basic computer skills in using electronic health record proficiently while conducting daily documentation and communications involved in patient care.

Processes orders appropriately and accurately.
