The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY is seeking to hire a full-time Residence Supervisor for our Residential Program to monitor service provisions in Sodus, NY to promote community integration and maximum level of independence in activities of daily living. You will assume responsibility for the overall operation of the assigned residence in the Residential Program. Our Residence Supervisors earn a starting wage of $22.58 per hour. A Day In The Life As A Residence Supervisor:

Provide oversight to staff and individuals supported in assigned residence(s)

Support the personal growth and independence of individuals with developmental disabilities while assuring a healthy, safe, sanitary, living environment.

Develop, implement and monitor Residential Habilitation plans and Protective Oversight Plans as part of the Person Centered Plan (ISP) for each individual.

As an Residence Supervisor (RS) you will provide support to a team of Direct Support Professionals and a Residence Team Leader. This includes assuring adequate staffing to meet the needs of people supported, including interviewing, hiring, training, and development of the team, and can assume direct care responsibilities on an as needed basis during staffing shortages or increased needs of individuals receiving services.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. with flexibility to meet program need.

You must possess a:

Associate degree in Human Services or related field and one year supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities OR,

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Valid New York State Driver's License that meets the agency driver standards.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional to frequent basis. Must be able to alternate between sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, twisting and crawling on a frequent basis.
