Req Number 111368FLEXSTAFFWe are looking for a Surgical Tech to work for our client, an ambulatory surgery center in Eastern Suffolk. Experience with pain management, gastroenterology and ophthalmology preferred.This is a full-time direct hire position! Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. No nights, weekends or holidays!Pay is $30-$40 depending on experience!Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies as needed.
Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure, following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Monitor the patient's vital signs and assist with positioning and draping the patient for surgery.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as required.
Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis.
Assist with post-operative care, including dressing changes and wound care.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Surgical Technician program preferred.
Certification as a Surgical Technician is strongly preferred.
One year of previous experience working as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.
