The Lead assists with monitoring work processes and environmental conditions to ensure the safety of all employees.Responsibilities:
Serves as a role model and mentor for other department employees.
Assist team members in accomplishing timely and accurate assembly of customer orders, in preparation for shipment.
Supports team members with maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe working.
Provides on-the-job training & coaching to new associates, shares best-practices for selecting, and assists team members with identifying methods for improving overall productivity.
Aids in performing quality control and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years’ experience in warehousing required.
Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 60-75 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift).
Demonstrates strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to think critically and strives for continuous improvement.
Must be able to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above the ground (with provided safety equipment/processes/training)
Must be a self-starter with the ability to multitask.
Possess excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient using the AS400 or a similar warehouse management system.
