Includes Service Shops. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Manage the Schenectady plant warehouse operations in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety with a large focus on supporting Rewenables manufacturing.

Develop lean standards to deliver parts to the production line to not cause line stoppages.

Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.

Team management of salaried employees and hourly employees.

Responsible for direct team development and growth through hiring, priority setting, and regular performance reviews.

Drive Continuous Improvement and a larger Lean initiative within the warehouse and throughout the site. Leverage and champion Lean across entire team and shops to propose and implement significant process and production changes.

Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

Minimum 8 years of experience in warehousing with at least 3 years of experience in leading a warehouse.

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
