JOB OVERVIEW:CareGivers (formerly Rely Health Care) is looking for anoutstanding, career-minded Personal Care Aide, HHA, or CNAto join our team in Schenectady NY. In this position, you would be exclusively working Schenectady County Office of the Aging casework ina specified territory. You would be guaranteed30 hours a week, andand would need to be available Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm(your casework would be scheduled within this window)Areliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for this position – this is not optional.You will be visiting multiple clients in your territory – 2 to 3 hours per client – and you may need to run errands or do shopping for some clients. You will be paid for travel time between clients which is included in your 30 hours/week. You will also be paid mileage in between clients, and mileage for any errands or shopping you do for clients.The person selected for this position would need to be ok with helping clients that have pets, or who smoke, assome clients may have pets or smoke.Position:Personal Care Aide – must be certified PCA, HHA, or CNAYour Territory:city of Schenectady, Glenville, NiskayunaShifts:Guaranteed 30 hours/week – Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pmEnhanced rates offered for this position,$20.00/ hour.We are looking for someone who isreliable, punctual, dedicated, and compassionate– these are essential traits for this position.The guarantee excludes any loss of hours because of an inability on your part to work your scheduled shiftsOr Call Us! JOB DUTIES:Responsible for providing personal care and supportive services which may include (but are not limited to) assisting the client in activities of daily living, providing light housekeeping services to maintain a clean and safe environment for the client, and making sure they follow their medication schedule.
Must be a certified PCA, HHA, or CNA
Will transition CNA to HHA with a free one-day class
Qualified nursing students can work for us as HHAs – ask us how!
If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class. Ask us how!
Must be caring, dependable, & must meet health requirements
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required – you must be able to drive from client to client, this is not optional.(clean – no major violations)
Must be ok with pets and/or smoking in client homes
Must be 18 or older
Must be legally authorized to work in the US
