Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Boom Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, including but not limited to boom trucks, loaders, and dump trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Boom Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
Operate boom trucks and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload materials using loaders, front loader trucks.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
Assist in site preparation, including building and grading as necessary.
Maintain clear communication with supervisors and other operators regarding project progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating heavy machinery.
Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is mandatory.
Familiarity with loader operation and backhoe operation is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
