Drywall Carpenter
Job Description Duties:
- Hang and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape drywall to fit around windows, doors, electrical outlets, and other obstacles
- Secure drywall panels to wooden or metal studs using screws or nails
- Apply joint compound and tape to seal and smooth seams between drywall panels
- Sand and finish drywall surfaces to create a smooth and even texture
- Repair or replace damaged or cracked drywall panels as needed
- Work with other construction professionals, such as painters or electricians, to ensure proper installation and finishing of drywall
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Drywall Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry
- Knowledge of stucco, masonry, and construction plumbing is a plus
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy drywall panels
- Knowledge of mold remediation techniques is preferred
- Experience with caulking and airless paint spraying is a plus
