Research Internship — Polymetallic Nodule Data Collection (Unpaid, Part-Time)

Blue Skye Development, Inc. is an early-stage startup developing a pitch deck and investor prospectus for its first round of funding. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented research intern to support this effort by locating and compiling information on polymetallic nodules in the western Pacific.
About the Internship:
Commitment: Approximately 40–60 hours, spread over two to three weeks.
Location: Remote.
Compensation: Unpaid; however, outstanding performance and a successful funding round may lead to a full-time, paid position with the company.
Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth research using scientific databases, university archives, and credible online resources.
Identify and summarize relevant studies, surveys, and data sets related to polymetallic nodules in the western Pacific region.
Organize findings in a clear, accessible format for use in the company’s pitch materials.
Collaborate with company principals to refine research goals and ensure accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications:
Some prior experience with academic or data-driven research (coursework, projects, or similar internships).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with scientific databases and university library systems is a plus.
Interest in ocean resources, geology, or environmental studies is desirable.
