Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Work on maintenance team alongside Operations technicians and managers in a cross-functional team setting to minimize machine downtime and improve line output.

Follows manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation, manuals, and diagrams, to diagnose and troubleshoot abnormalities.

Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools and jacks.

Troubleshoot, repair and properly document on complex industrial machine issues.

Have sufficient understanding of metal properties, layout, and shop mathematics by making use of PLC, control, and relay circuits.

Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the appropriate equipment to determine the most efficient course of action.

Perform and document preventative maintenance as required.

Experience in welding, altering or fabricating components of equipment.

Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.

Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specification.

Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work.

Application of lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment.

Provides maintenance in and out of building as well as other job-related duties.

Requirements: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Previous industrial maintenance experience required.

Attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret documents.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variable

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job could include close vision.
