First Shift 7:30-4 and second shift 3:45-12:30A, both require OT as needed paying $21-26 depending on experience

Position Overview:

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. This role ensures that production runs are executed safely, efficiently, and to exact specifications while meeting strict quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Load raw materials, bar stock, or billets into CNC machines.

Operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or grinders following work instructions.

Monitor machine operations to detect issues such as tool wear, dimensional drift, or abnormal sounds.

Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

Document inspection results in accordance with quality requirements.

Make minor offsets or adjustments to maintain tolerance.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and travelers to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Collaborate with setup machinists, quality inspectors, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school training in machining is preferred.

Prior experience operating and inspecting parts using a CNC Mill/Turn/Lathe, required.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for tracking jobs & MS Office (Word/Excel), required.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances, required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Experience in an AS9100 certified aerospace/defense environment, desired.

Knowledge of materials common in aerospace (aluminum alloys, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel), desired.

Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges), required.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, or similar), helpful.
