Job Description:
As an E-commerce Web Developer, you will be instrumental in shaping the digital experience for our users and shopping experience for our customers. As we continue to expand our presence, we are seeking a skilled, innovative, and motivated Web Developer with a strong focus on E-commerce and UX/UI development. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Design & Marketing and Sales Team to design, develop, and maintain our e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless integration with our products and services.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality e-commerce websites with a strong emphasis on user experience and interface design (UX / UI) while incorporating best practices for an engaging and user-friendly interface.
Implement and optimize features for our online platforms, ensuring compatibility with a variety of devices and browsers.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate web solutions with back-end systems and databases.
Implement and customize features such as product listings, checkout processes, abandoned cart follow-ups, and account management systems.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security of web applications.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our e-commerce offerings.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, UX/UI Development, or relevant experience.
Proven experience as an E-commerce Web Developer with a focus on UX/UI development.
Responsive design (mobile / tablet) knowledge is a must.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant front-end frameworks.
Working knowledge of the Volusion / Wix platform – others may follow.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience working with APIs and integrating third-party services (e.g., ShipStation, ZenDesk).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies to optimize user experience.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Develop data visualization tools and dashboards to present KPIs in a clear and actionable manner.
Nice to Have:
Experience with geolocation services and mapping APIs.
Familiarity with real-time data streaming and monitoring technologies.
Understanding of EV charging protocols and standards.
Understanding of web security principles.
