Role Overview
We’re hiring a Sous Chef to support the exec chef, and help run a clean, efficient, and high-performing kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role—ideal for someone who can cook, manage a line, and keep the team accountable without losing their cool. Key Responsibilities
Lead the line during service and ensure tickets are executed accurately and on time
Train and coach line cooks and prep staff to uphold kitchen standards
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation at all times
Manage daily prep lists, station assignments, and shift flow
Assist with ordering, inventory, and waste tracking
Enforce cleanliness, food safety, and DOH compliance every shift
Communicate openly and professionally with the Chef de Cuisine and ownership
Be the example: show up, be sharp, work hard, no drama
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2+ years experience as a sous chef, lead line cook, or similar leadership role
Strong working knowledge of kitchen systems, prep, and execution
Leadership that earns respect—no screamers or slackers
Excellent communication and team management skills
Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
ServSafe certification is a plus
Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
