Description Hannah Savage with Robert Half is working with a manufacturing organization in the Rochester, NY area who is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing for their large, multi-state, non-union workforce.Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a large organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Multi-State Payroll Management: Handle payroll for employees across multiple states, including managing varying tax laws and regulations.

Garnishments and Deductions: Accurately process wage garnishments, child support, and other deductions.

Tax Compliance: Ensure payroll tax filings are accurate and completed on time, including reconciliation of payroll taxes and year-end reporting.

System Utilization: Utilize ADP payroll software efficiently for processing, reporting, and record-keeping.

Issue Resolution: Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.

Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Accounting, and other departments to support payroll and related functions.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a large, multi-state organization.

Software Proficiency: Strong experience with ADP payroll systems is required.

Knowledge: Familiarity with payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while demonstrating a proactive and driven work ethic.

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
