Description We are offering a contract role for a Senior Accountant in the Rochester, New York area. The primary job function includes managing general ledger, reconciliations, and discrepancies, with the potential for an elevated role. This position will work closely with a small team and offers the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work arrangement if necessary.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and elevate significant issues to the manager Participate in month and quarter end closing processes Utilize industry-specific software (MRI - Real Estate and RAM - Fixed Assets) and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting Collaborate closely with the General Accounting Manager and other team members Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all financial matters Utilize software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process.Requirements Demonstrated expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Profound knowledge and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proven experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Suitable candidates must have a deep understanding of the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry Prior experience as a Sr. Accountant or in a similar role is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Please reach out to Briana Calabrese for immediate consideration.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
