OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Resident Assistant will provide support to Hope House residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter. Hours for this position: Saturday and Sunday from 6:45am-3:15pm. Responsibilities

Provide support to shelter residents.

Monitor the activities of the residents within the shelter environment. Complete daily Shift log checklist during your shift. Review and record the Communication Log each shift.

Conduct security wanding upon resident admission, as well as random wand checks.

Monitor the physical facility by making rounds every half hour and conducting periodic inspections to ensure rooms are clean, facility is secure and that clients are abiding by house rules.

Make referrals to alternative emergency shelter providers when Program beds are unavailable.

Maintain basic record keeping responsibilities. This includes performing electronic intakes in the database and completing accurate time sheets in a timely manner in ADP

Check your individual work email daily.

Attend and participate in monthly Staff meetings/Resident meetings.

Attend relevant In-Service training/conferences, as requested.

Complete all mandatory training (in-person and online) in a timely manner.

Clean linens, maintain cleanliness of the facility (inside and perimeter).

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum of High School Diploma/GED will be reviewed. Associated Degree preferred.

Crisis intervention, interpersonal and communication skills needed.

Ability to work in a continually changing and challenging environment.

Flexibility in personal work schedule. Must be available for relief hours as needed.

Basic computer skills required for completion of intakes, time sheets, email, daily logs.
