These procedures often replace conventional surgery. Some of the most common interventional radiology procedures include:Uterine fibroid embolization - a minimally invasive fibroid treatmentKyphoplasty (balloon kyphoplasty) for osteoporotic compression fractures of the spineCatheter directed thrombolysisChemoembolizationDeep vein thrombosisRadioembolization or selective internal radiation therapyMicrowave, RFA, cryoablation of tumors in the liver & kidneySTATUS: Full Time (36 hours per week) LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital DEPARTMENT: Interventional RadiologySCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Days, plus on-call which may include Evenings/WeekendsATTRIBUTES:Compassionate, warm and patient focusedCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervisionExceptional documentation skills and professional behaviorAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:Patient Satisfaction.
