Surgical Technologist Certification is not required for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with current licensure in the State of New YorkRESPONSIBILITIESCME maintenance. Must maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per yearSupply check & sterilization. Ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available and sterilized for surgical procedures and proper operationOrientation. Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unitDraping & maintenance. Assist with draping procedures and demonstrates vigilance in maintaining overall sterility in the operation roomUnit development.
