Surgical Technologist Certification is not required for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) with current licensure in the State of New YorkRESPONSIBILITIESCME maintenance. Must maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per yearSupply check & sterilization. Ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available and sterilized for surgical procedures and proper operationOrientation. Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unitDraping & maintenance. Assist with draping procedures and demonstrates vigilance in maintaining overall sterility in the operation roomUnit development. Help identify goals and objectives of the unitPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: CST - Certified Surgical Technologist - Association of Surgical Technologists (AST)LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)PAY RANGE: $25.00 - $29.00The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
