Analytical assessment of a patient's fertility status includes various semen analysis, testicular tissue analysis procedures, post-vasectomy analysis, and the assessment of individual sperm morphology.As a Clinical Lab Technologist, you will be an important member of the team working in specialized laboratories and performing highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation. Other responsibilities include:

Performing analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients.

Participating in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.

Instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating tests for accuracy, assisting with interpreting results, and operational support activities to optimize testing.

You will actively partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

This position is only available to current Mayo Clinic contractors currently employed within the CCLS Division of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) in Rochester, MN.Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to apply to other positions within Mayo Clinic.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science is required.To be considered for this position you must be a current contractor working within the CCLS Division of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology in Rochester, MN.Additional Qualifications

Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems is desirable.

Must be capable of producing accurate results under time constraints, multi-tasking, and performing in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others.

Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.
