GENERAL PURPOSE:Under the direction of the Child Life Coordinator, the Child Life Specialist will conduct child life assessment intervention for pediatrics patients being cared for in the Pediatric Imaging Center.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to provide child life services based on assessment of patient's development and psychosocial needs.

Utilizes therapeutic activities as diagnostic and treatment tools.

Provides interdisciplinary care on the development and psychosocial needs.

Consults with team members regarding the individual needs of the patient.

Supervises volunteers and Child Life interns as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Child Life or related field and experience required.

Master's degree preferred.

Child Life certification required.
