ResponsibilitiesExciting opportunity for a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/Specialist. This NPD position will serve as the Central Nurse Residency Program Coordinator and be a member of the dynamic Learning and Development team. Primary areas of focus will include Transition to Practice Program management, ANCC PTAP accreditation adherence, ongoing curriculum development and evaluation, Central Preceptor and Residency Facilitator Program management. The NPD Practitioner will work collaboratively with Nursing Practice management and NPD Practitioners across the hospital and UR Med System to ensure a positive transition to professional nursing practice for new graduate nurse hires. The NPD Practitioner will be responsible to provide a program encompassing service excellence in practice, adherence to nursing policies, procedures and practice standards; professional development and guidance for career advancement; and development of team relationships and commitment to the nursing profession. Utilizing adult learning principles, the NPD Practitioner will demonstrate the ability to integrate technology and engagement strategies to enhance the learning environment. Responsibilities also include comprehensive evaluation of programs, utilizing data analytics, survey feedback, and national benchmarking. Requirements include NYS RN license, BSN and master’s degree in related field. Board certification in Nursing Professional Development required within 1 year of employment. Required experience in acute nursing care with preceptor responsibilities. Preferred experience in curriculum development and/or program management and management/supervisory role.Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing Education or related field in Nursing required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years RN experience in acute care setting preferred; Recent clinical and educational expertise in specialty area required; RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure with current New York State license upon hire required; Professional nursing certification in specialty area upon hire preferredHow To Apply Current University of Rochester employees need only submit a resume to [email protected]. Full/Part Time:

Schedule: FT position-40 hours/week, days, Monday-Friday, Hybrid onsite/remote as schedule allows.
