ResponsibilitiesOpportunity for a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner/Specialist within the department of Learning and Development. This leadership position will involve working collaboratively with the CNPD team, Nursing Practice management/leadership, NPD Practitioners across the hospital, and UR Med System to support nursing leadership development activities. Oversight to programs and initiatives that support nursing leadership orientation, professional development, performance expectations, and performance evaluations will be provided through this role. The NPD Practitioner will ensure that nursing specific leadership programs align with URMC, UR Medicine, and University leadership development initiatives. Responsibilities will include membership of the Nursing Leadership Institute, co-coordination of the Nursing Leadership Orientation program and the Leadership Development Series, coordination of the Assistant Nurse Manager Development Residency program, development of CNE activities thereby fulfilling the Nurse Planner role, along with support for other professional development programs as necessary. An opportunity to be trained on principles of Emergenetics will be offered. Responsibilities also include comprehensive and on-going evaluation of programs utilizing data analytics, survey feedback, and national benchmarking. Requirements include NYS RN license, BSN and master’s degree in related field. Board certification in Nursing Professional Development required within 1 year of employment. Required experience in acute nursing care with leadership responsibilities. Preferred experience in curriculum development and/or program management.Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing Education or related field in Nursing required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years RN experience in acute care setting preferred; Recent clinical and educational expertise in specialty area required; RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure with current New York State license upon hire required; Professional nursing certification in specialty area upon hire preferredHow To Apply Current University of Rochester employees need only submit a resume to [email protected]. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
