8737BRPosition Title:Assistant DirectorOrganization:Aux-Residence LifeJob Responsibilities:This position requires a dynamic leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, a keen understanding of college student development, knowledge of curricular approaches to residential education, experience working with theme communities, and strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.The Assistant Director for the Center for Residence Life will:

Supervise, train, and evaluate 3-4 Masters level professionals

Manage staff resources to provide outreach, resource referral, and follow-up on a variety of student issues, including mental health, by working closely with the Student Behavior Consultation Team, Public Safety, Housing Operations, Student Conduct, and other campus partners, as well as participate in a year-round on-call duty rotation for the entire residential population

Interpret and execute University, Division, and Center policies and procedures, including serving as a Student Conduct hearing officer, Title IX hearing officer, and Residence Life representative in formal student conduct hearings

Provide oversight to staff with regards to residential education, including oversight of fiscal resources in support of programmatic efforts

Participate on Divisional and University Committees as assigned and participate in ongoing professional development, particularly in competency areas of technology, assessment, administrative leadership, and those identified by the employee and supervisor.
