CLAD Industries is seeking a full-time sheet metal engineer to add to our growing team.
Skills & Experience:
1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in a job shop)
Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks proficiency in sheet metal.
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance is a plus
Support efforts of machine operators in daily operation of the shop
Thorough understanding of forming concepts and production equipment
Knowledge of Amada software a plus (SheetWorks, VPSS3i and Dr. Abe)
CNC programming experience in Laser or Punch a plus
Forming (Press brake) and CNC Forming a plus
Quality control experience a plus
Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Be able to manage multiple projects
Have excellent organizational skills
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Do what it takes to satisfy aggressive workload and meet customer needs
Be willing to work a flexible schedule as business necessitates
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Description:
Review customer drawings for manufacturability
Change customer parts as required to make them manufacturable
Communicate to customer the need for engineering changes when needed
Clarify drawings for manufacturing personnel
Provide additional support drawings as needed for manufacturing
Maintain bill of materials.
Provide all routings, drawings and support documentation needed to process jobs on manufacturing floor
Thoroughly understand production equipment to utilize machines efficiently and safely
Complete and manage engineering change requests.
Have specific knowledge of 3D CAD software applications
Create flat blanks and bend drawings as required using Amada blanking and bending software
Other jobs, including working in the shop, as required to get the work out the door
