  • 84 Months of Experience in using SQL for analysis and reporting including conditional formatting and joining multiple queries.
  • 84 Months of Experience testing all reports and analytics prior to moving to production.
  • 84 Months Experience in social service-related reporting including troubleshooting for user support.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Detailed Job Description:
  • This request is for a Cognos Development Expert to work in the OCFS Bureau of Research, Evaluation and Performance Analytics (BREPA) using the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) Tool to create Cognos reporting packages and reports, and to fulfil ad hoc requests on an as needed basis. This position will also support the reporting needs addressed directly through the DJJOY application (i.e., JJIS).
  • This resource works primarily in an operational capacity with a focus on maintenance and upkeep of current reports and the development of new reports as needed. This resource will be used on an ongoing basis for the foreseeable future.
  • This resource is critical to continue reporting, analysis and measurement of data contained in the DJJOY application. If this resource is not procured, the OCFS DJJOY staff and local providers will be left without a resource to address ongoing management and operational reporting, including needed development of data structures and reports to monitor compliance and minimize any possible fiscal penalties. There are two resources that work on JJIS and each have a full workload.
