A NYS agency located in Queens, NY is looking for a C Application Developer for a 12 month contract.

Please note that this position may initially allow for work to be performed remotely. However, consultant will be required to work on-site/in-office once COVID restrictions are lifted. To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test.

Requirements and skills

Strong C Skills with C20
AMQ Proton knowledge
Complex UI creation with scaling resolution targeting IGEL Dumb Terminals
Linux Experience
Fedora / Red Hat environments
C20
QT Development
AMQP Proton
Railroad Operations
4-6 years' experience: C Advanced Level, C Expert Level, Red Hat Linux

Preferred Skills

Experience building continuous integration pipeline for compiled C software.
Including testing, deployment, and monitoring
Oracle/SQL Experience
QT Developer Expertise
Knowledge of Railroad operations

Responsibilities

This position is for an Application Developer to support East Side Access and TIMACS3 Projects.
Responsible for the coding, development, testing, maintenance and integration of complex application software.
