A NYS agency located in Queens, NY is looking for a C Application Developer for a 12 month contract.

Please note that this position may initially allow for work to be performed remotely. However, consultant will be required to work on-site/in-office once COVID restrictions are lifted. To be considered for this position, the client has advised that upon placement, consultants will be required to wear a mask under certain circumstances, show proof of full vaccination or submit on a weekly basis proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR diagnostic test.

Requirements and skills

  • Strong C Skills with C20
  • AMQ Proton knowledge
  • Complex UI creation with scaling resolution targeting IGEL Dumb Terminals
  • Linux Experience
  • Fedora / Red Hat environments
  • C20
  • QT Development
  • AMQP Proton
  • Railroad Operations
  • 4-6 years' experience: C Advanced Level, C Expert Level, Red Hat Linux

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building continuous integration pipeline for compiled C software.
  • Including testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Oracle/SQL Experience
  • QT Developer Expertise
  • Knowledge of Railroad operations

Responsibilities

  • This position is for an Application Developer to support East Side Access and TIMACS3 Projects.
  • Responsible for the coding, development, testing, maintenance and integration of complex application software.
