RG19421Position: SAP Billing and Rates ConfiguratorLocation: Poughkeepsie, NY Compensation: Market Salary Range + Excellent Benefits + Paid RelocationJob Description:The SAP Billing & Rates Configurator is responsible for translating business needs including customer contact center, customer accounting, and cost & rate requirements into functionality within SAP’s S/4 HANA utility industry software solution via system configurations. You will also act as a liaison between the Technology department and business process/system owners. You will gain understanding and business knowledge as it relates to the Customer Relationship & Billing SAP business processes. You will also continuously seek to optimize processes to drive efficient system and business operations. Responsibilities:Performs SAP system analysis, design, configuration and production support activities using SAP’s S/4 HANA system; configures all bill pricing and rates in the S/4HANA ISU.Supports all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, configuration, testing and deployment along with the generation of required documentation throughout each phase of the project.Demonstrates an understanding of the business processes impacted throughout the SAP S/4HANA Customer Relationship & Billing (CR & B) solution, and working with the business units, actively identifies & implements improvements.Demonstrates an understanding of standard SAP data structures & processes.Supports the testing and implementation of scheduled patches released by SAP.Participates in troubleshooting incidents reported to IT and assists in identifying root cause of any issues.Collaborates with other SAP Configurators and ABAP Developers to implement, design and support defined requirements.Actively participates in industry communities to continuously expand upon knowledge and improve the standards and awareness of the company’s SAP practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related professional experience in areas such as SAP development, configuration or administration, systems programming, information systems development, or a closely related field. ORAn Associate’s degree with 5+ years of related professional experience (stated above) will be considered.Experience with system analysis, design, configuration and production support activities using S/4HANA systemExperience with implementation and/or support of S/4HANA billing and rates configuration & processes (such as Billing, Billing Master Data, Rates Configuration, Bill-Print, etc.)Demonstrated understanding of SAP’s Contracts, Contract Accounts, Business Partner and installations, and SAP Best PracticesAbility to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organizational technology, processes, and prioritiesExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levelsPlusses:Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or STEM field. A Master’s degree.Experience with SAP S/4HANA ISU Billing, Bill-Print, Device Management Modules, SAP Sales and Marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) processes.Demonstrated understanding of and prior experience with SAP S/4HANA ISU platform configuration, in-depth knowledge of the Billing Master Data, Rates Configuration, Billing Schema, Price Keys, Discounts, Time of Use, On Bill Financing and other bill related processes.Hands-on experience participating within large, transformational projects and acting as an organizational change agent.Experience in Energy & Utilities or services industry.Experience in a regulated and/or co-sourced environment.
