Extracorporeal circulation/cardiopulmonary support.
Counterpulsation. Circulatory support/ventricular assistance.
Blood Conservation techniques/autotransfusion.
Myocardial preservation. Anticoagulation and hematologic monitoring/analysis.
Physiologic monitoring/analysis. Blood gas and blood chemistry monitoring/analysis.
Induction of hypothermia/hyperthermia with reversal.
Hemodilution. Hemofiltration.
Administration of medications, blood components and anesthetic agents via the extracorporeal circuit.
Documentation associated with described duties.
Maintains presence at work and availability as required by the nature of duties of the position.
Properly maintains perfusion equipment to ensure patient safety and job safety. Assists with maintenance of supply and equipment inventories necessary for the proper operation of the perfusion service.
Provides assistance, training, and education in the care of surgical patients as required.

Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:· Bachelor’s Degree from institution recognized or accredited by the Board of Regents of the New York Education Department.· Graduate of a Cardiovascular Perfusion program recognized and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education (AC-PE).· Three (3) years of perfusion experience.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:· Strong documentation skills.· Experience with perfusion related databases, preferably NYS DOH.· Strong communication skills.License, Registration, or Certification Requirements:· Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.· Licensed Perfusionist under Article 134 of the NYS Education Law.Company: Vassar Brothers Medical CenterOrg Unit: 1480Department: Cardiac Perfusion ServicesExempt: YesSalary Range: $65.80 - $122.21 HourlyShare:EOE, including disability/vets.We will endeavor to make a reasonable accommodation to the known physical or mental limitations of a qualified applicant with a disability unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the operation of our business.
