This project is in the proposal stage, we’re awaiting to be awarded the contract.International SOS is looking for qualified individuals to be Work and Family Life (WFL) Consultant for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force plus their eligible family members; active duty members of foreign military services who are stationed in the area; reserve military personnel and their family members when they are eligible for military medical care, military members designated as severely wounded, ill and injured and their identified caretakers and, on a space available basis, military retirees and their family members and widows, eligible family members of military decedents and other groups as directed and authorized by higher authorities in response to special circumstances. Key Responsibilities:Provide educational and support programs and services that directly support deployment and mission readiness by preparing service and family members to anticipate, understand and cope with the demands associated with the Navy lifestyle and operating tempo.  Collaborate with individual command’s leadership in planning a mix of programs tailored to the needs of their command and which target different audiences to include single, married, parents and children, wartime and peacetime.  Collaborate with other FFSP personnel as the team works to provide FFSP support to individuals, families, commands and others entitled to FFSP services to include deployment and mobilization support, individual deployment support, reginal/site individual deployment support, repatriation, ombudsman training and support, relocation assistance, life skills education, transition assistance, family employment readiness, emergency preparedness and response and emergency case management support as outlined in FFSP directives. Provide education and consultative services that support the mobile military lifestyle by facilitating career decision-making, personal financial management, job seeking, and adjustments of service and family members to life in the military and successful transitions from the military to civilian life. Provide pre-deployment, mid-deployment, return and reunion, and post-deployment briefs/workshops for commands, sailors and their families being sensitive to command type (i.e., special warfare, air, submarine, surface, etc.). Provide SAPR training when not provided by SAPR personnel. Provide deployment services and information to mobilized reservists and family members, individual augmentees and family members, and Command Family Readiness Groups. Provide aggressive command outreach and liaison to ashore and afloat commands. Ensure that deployment support group programs, one-on-one assistance and Information and Referral services are entered and counted in FFSMIS. Coordinate with agencies and other service support offices when needed to include installation medical and recreational facilities, community service agencies and private organizations. Perform administrative functions associated with the training, education and outreach program plans. Collect, and maintain training, education and outreach materials, including listings of services and resources, information on the command outreach concept and plan, reports, and surveys. Ensure WFL information is incorporated as appropriate in FFSP education and awareness campaigns. Ensure staff delivering WFL are accounting for all services delivered in the scheduling module in FFSMIS.
