Req Number 120914Job DescriptionAdmits incoming patients for Radiological services. Interview incoming patients/ representatives to obtain identifying information and other data required for services.Job Responsibility

Greets patients and/or visitors to the department in a courteous manner.

Interviews patients/representatives to obtain all relevant demographic and insurance data, and necessary signatures.

Assigns each patient an on-line account number.

Collaborates with Medical Records to identify if patient has previously received services at hospital.

Places telephone calls to nursing units, advising time of scheduled exams.

Enters all information into computer system, verifying accuracy.

Provides patients with interpretation of hospital's policies and regulations.

Escorts or arranges escort to appropriate room.

Ensures completed chart accompanies patient to nursing units upon completion.

Performs related duties, as required.

ADA Essential FunctionsJob Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Previous computer/data entry experience, preferred.

Typing 30 wpm, required.

Ability to communicate effectively.
