Provide students the opportunity to learn education terminology, structure, mandates and services.
Participate in rotations in a variety of education settings which include elementary, middle and high school, as well as specialty areas such as special education, music, art, occupation therapy, physical therapy, speech, counseling and administration.
Teach the roles and expectations of an educational professional in New York State.
Students will participate in mandated teacher training including mandated reporter, Dignity for All Students (DASA), health & safety and Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR).
Develop students into informed college or workforce candidates through shadowing and/or internships in the education setting.
