Req Number 124394FLEXSTAFFWe are looking for an experienced Director of Nursing for a location in Upstate, NY.This is a permanent, full-time job.In this role you will be supervising several out-patient programs in developing and implementing quality nursing policies, procedures, protocols, and related training.An ideal candidate would have a BSN with current RN license in good standing in NYS, and minimum of five (5) years' experience in supervisory/managerial capacity, as well as experience with patients with neurological impairments.Flexibility with schedules and willingness to work non-traditional hours.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Directly supervise all nurses and non-medical stuff, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, completion of performance evaluations, and issuance of guidance/disciplinary action, if necessary.
Develop, implement, and maintain an orientation training program for new nurses and other direct reports.
Develop, review, and revise (as necessary) policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice.
Provides oversight of nursing budgets, including supplies and pharmacy invoices.
Acts as liaison to the pharmacies, internal and external medical facilities, and families as necessary.
Develop and implement a system for monitoring the provision of services and adherence to departmental procedures and standards (i.e., chart reviews).
Reviews the medical status/conditions of Individuals supported and provides clinical consultation and direction to all nursing personnel.
Interprets new regulations (i.e., infection control, medication administration, employee health) and develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
