JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Responsible for giving direction to Cage Cashiers based on Cage Supervisor or Cage Director’s guidance; often acting in a supervisory capacity in the Director and/or Supervisor’s absence. Ensures accurate processing of transactions with customers and for balancing various bank drawers within the Cage Department, maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, gaming regulations and Tioga Downs Casino policies and procedures.Ensures security of Company assets, including cash, chips, and tokens, during scheduled shift.Assists Cage Cashiers and guests with all transactional needs, including but not limited to; check cashing, credit card cash advances, slot ticket redemptions, chip cash outs, lottery transactions and foreign & domestic currency exchanges within specified guidelines.Promotes and maintains the highest level of guest service to both internal and external guests as advocated by Be the Best training guidelines.Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, and notifies supervisor and/or Security of any unusual events, circumstances, or alleged theft.Independently counts, records, and balances funds in Main Bank, Chip Bank, Sportsbook and Mutuels banks.Receives and verifies currency, coin, checks, and tickets to and from the coin vault, window, and Main Bank; prepares necessary paperwork to document transfers.Prepares and releases cash requirements to all venues throughout the facility.Receives and verifies drops through careful review of all paperwork and signatures.Prepares daily cash, checks and foreign currency for deposit.Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.Ticket Redemption Kiosk (TRU) cash maintenance, and guest dispute resolutionOversees completion of all reports or forms for accuracy and compliance with Title 31 Anti-Money Laundering reporting requirements.Verifies transactions between main bank cashiers and cage cashiersMaintains a working knowledge of facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.Presents a sociable and professional demeanor towards guests and employees at all times.Facilitates the flow of information, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.All other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly leads other Cage Cashiers. Carries out Lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems with both guests and other employees.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related area preferred.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Effective communication skills required. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations.
