Job Summary:Pfizer is looking for a senior leader of Analytics Engineering, leading a best-in-class team in commercial analytics. Reporting to the VP of Analytics Engineering, this person will be responsible for leading a team of data and analytics engineers to ensuring best in class processes and deliverables supporting your Data Science, Insight & Strategy partner organization across the entire data journey from Descriptive to Predictive with key responsibilities for pipeline creation, reporting, and data visualization across the commercial business.We seek a passionate and results-oriented senior leader to join our team to build data foundations and tools to craft the future. You will design and implement scalable, extensible and highly-available data pipelines on large volume data sets, that will enable actionable insights, strategy and ML workloads across commercial. You will work closely with the Digital engineering team to understand the architecture and internal APIs involved in upcoming and ongoing projects. This role is accountable for delivering data engineering and BI solutions for commercial and will partner with Insight and Strategy, Data science, Market Research, Analytics Governance to develop and implement pipelines, reporting, and data products that drive brands' strategic priorities.

You are a top-tier analytics engineering leader with significant experience in forming teams, organizing processes and workflows, and mentoring/developing the managers what work on your team as well as junior team members.

You are a hands-on leader who has demonstrated the ability to hire, build and develop high performing teams to meet the needs of a highly dynamic and complex business.

You have a passion for applied empirical analytics and answering hard questions with data, and the demonstrated ability to conceptualize, promote and implement business insights via best in class data tools and visualizations.

Translate business requirements by business team into data and engineering specifications

Design and build scalable data sets and products based on engineering specifications from the available raw data and derive business metrics/insights

Closely collaborate with marketing and business stakeholders to define andimplement the data engagement relationships required with partners

Partner with Digital Engineering team and identify server APIs that needs to be instrumented for data analytics and reporting and align the server events for execution in already established data pipelines

Discover and understand complex data sets, identify and formulate correlational rules between heterogenous data sources for effective analytics and reporting

Successfully bridge engineering and business with ability to speak the common language of both

Provide coverage on ad-hoc data and analysis from diverse partners and automate those needs over time

Work hand in hand with the Platform/Digital and DevOps team for platform/tool enhancements, monitoring and alerting on various data pipelines and jobs

Experience in healthcare, Pharma, and their 3rd party data is a plus.

Key Qualifications:

15+ years of relevant experience in data analytics/technology and 8+ years' managerial experience.

Extensive professional experience with ETL, BI & Data Analytics

Extensive professional experience with Big Data systems, data pipelines and data processing

Deep expertise in Data Architecture, Data Modeling and task estimations.

Familiarity with data privacy standards, methodologies and best practices

Practical hands-on experience with data technologies and Cloud Platform like Hadoop, Hive, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake.

Expertise in Python, Unix Shell scripting and Dependency driven job schedulers

Expertise in Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI is a plus

Ability to understand API Specs, identify relevant API calls , extract data and implement data pipelines & SQL friendly data structures

Familiarity with rule based engines & tools for multi stage data correlation on large data sets is a plus

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage work to tight deadlines and handle the pressure of executive requests and product launches

Ability to deliver consistent high quality results while working in a dynamic & fast paced environment with extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work

Strong communication, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.

In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
