PT to FT Mechanic
Looking to hire a skilled gas / diesel mechanic. for fleet of school buses and trucks and cars. We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our team in the shop doing PMs and DOT inspection, diagnosing issues and repairing different variations of vehicles in a timely and safely matter. Starting pay will be mostly based on experience. Must have own tools. Part time and full time available
Responsibilities:
Work on Heavy Duty Trucks including International, Freightliner, Bluebird, GMC, Chevy, others.
Diagnose and repair engine issues and air brakes.
Adjust equipment and replace any defective parts.
Perform maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating.
Use computerized systems or testing equipment to diagnose malfunctions or problems.
Repair and verify emission control systems.
Order parts as required.
Maintain a clean and organized shop garage; you may need to bring your own tools.
Provide road service as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a gas and diesel mechanic.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Knowledgeable about engine systems, air brakes, and emission control systems.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Reliable and able to perform road service when required.
