We are seeking a professional and experienced full-time chauffeur in New York City. The role will involve 30-40 hours of work per week, with flexibility for additional hours as required. The successful candidate will drive the employer’s personal vehicle and must demonstrate the highest level of reliability, discretion, and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Should be a retired NYPD officer, with an in-depth knowledge of safety protocols and secure driving practices (this is a plus)
- Extensive experience driving luxury vehicles in NYC or similar urban environments
- Ability to be flexible with working hours, including being on-call as needed
- Exceptional knowledge of NYC traffic laws, routes, and shortcuts
- Polite, well-mannered, and professional demeanor at all times
- A clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Completion of a defensive driving course (or willingness to complete one)
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and care
- Strong communication skills for coordination and task management
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with privacy, security, and VIP client care
- Punctuality, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the employer and act accordingly
- Knowledge of nearby airports, major business hubs, and points of interest within NYC
