We are seeking a reliable and skilled Trucker/Installer to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of fabricated products to job sites and for assisting with their installation. This is a dynamic role that requires a mix of driving skills, physical labor and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Safely load, transport, and unload fabricated metal products, such as wall flats, props, and structural components, to various job sites.
Operate and maintain a company truck, ensuring it is in good working condition and following all traffic and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure all products are properly secured and accounted for before departure.
Work with an installation crew to unload and install products on-site according to project specifications and blueprints.
Use hand and power tools to assist with the installation process, which may include welding, bolting, or anchoring.
Communicate effectively with clients and project managers on-site to address any issues or concerns.
Maintain accurate delivery and installation records.
Adhere to all company safety protocols and job site regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or trucker, preferably in the construction or fabrication industry.
Experience with and knowledge of safe lifting and rigging practices.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or shop drawings is a plus.
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
