- Years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a multi-family or mix-used setting

- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry

- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and climbing

what you'll do

- Perform routine, preventative and reactionary maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances.

- Troubleshoot and repair issues in a timely manner.

- Maintain cleanliness and order in common areas, including hallways, laundry rooms, and grounds.

- Ensure proper functioning of fire safety equipment and conduct regular inspections.

- Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.

- Coordinate with and oversee third-party contractors for specialized repairs or projects.

- Obtain bids and ensure work is completed to standards and within budget.

- Respond to resident requests and concerns promptly and professionally.

- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with residents.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and expenses.
