We are contractors involved in new construction in New York City projects.
We are seeking to build a team of two Junior Draftsman that can breakdown blueprints submitted to our company by General Contractors to determine the scope of the work required for the job.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in reading blueprints, be a self-starter, and be a highly motivated individual and team player.
You will be working with other groups at the same time on many projects; proposed, scheduled and in progress, in the five boroughs of New York City. As such, you must be punctual, time efficient and a proficient multitasker.
You will be breaking down blueprints in PDF, TIFF, and DWG format and on “paper and pencil” as well. Also, you will be required to create drawings and prints of various projects, detailing dimensions, and materials.
The work never stops coming so you must use your time efficiently and be an effective communicator. Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel) is used daily.
